What should be my first step?
Your first step should be to look around the web and see what types of logos you like. Every time you see a logo or graphic that you like, make a note of the web address. Knowing what you're looking for will make the design process much easier and faster.

What are the different logo types?
  • Graphical Representation:
Graphical logos contain an integrated graphic of some sort. The design can be representational or abstract in nature.
  • Logotype or Font Logo:
Font logos contain only font elements. The actual font elements are used in various combinations to form the design.
  • Illustrated Logos:
Illustrated logos include elements that have been drawn by hand.

How do I order my logo?
It's easy! Just fill in and submit the online order form, and a designer will contact you within 24 hours. If you have any questions before ordering, you may e-mail customer service at
cs@rondarlogos.com. Once you have submitted your form, you can click on the link button provided and pay with a credit card through PayPal; or you may send one of the other payment types listed below.

How do I pay for my logo?
Rondar Logos accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and eChecks through
PayPal, Company Checks, Personal Checks, or Money Orders.

How will I see my logo designs?
Your initial designs will be posted to a personal web page for viewing. On that page there will be messages for you, along with your assorted designs. Once a version has been selected, revisions will also be posted on that page. Your personal web address will be sent to you via email, and we will also e-mail you when revisions have been posted to the site.
Click here to go back to the top.

How long before I see my first designs?
We start the designing process the same day that payment is received, and you will see your first designs within 2 to 4 business days.
Click here to go back to the top.

How long will it take to get the finished logo design files?
Most logos are completed within one to three weeks; however, much of this depends on you. Since revisions are started as soon as we receive your feedback, the sooner you reply, the sooner you get your finished logo. If you reply the same day that versions and revisions are posted, then your final logo will most likely be ready within the time frame above. On the other hand, if you only answer your email once a week, then the process will probably take longer.

    How is my logo delivered?
Each final logo design will be sent electronically via e-mail and/or on a CD. The delivery method will depend on the file sizes and the quantity of file types desired. There will be a description for each file in the e-mail message and/or an index file on the CD. To save time and storage space, we will most likely send the files in zipped format if they are delivered via e-mail.

Do you keep my logo on file?
Yes, all artwork is archived on hard drives and CD. Should you lose the master copy of your logo, feel free to contact us for a replacement.

What are the different file formats?

  • Vector (AI) Format:
AI stands for Adobe Illustrator - this is the default file format for that designing program. During the creation process, we work in AI format. This file is editable both with PC or MAC software.
  • Vector (EPS) Format:
This is the format that we create for your Printing Facility. It contains font and color information. This format can also be imported into most PC and MAC publishing software.
  • GIF or JPG: (Depends on the shading)
This is the file you will use on your web site and email templates. It will be optimized for crisp, quick loading.
  • 300 dpi CMYK TIFF:
This format can be imported into most PC and MAC applications. Simply insert into Word documents to print your own color letterheads, envelopes and business cards. Just minutes after delivery, you can see your printed logo! (color printer recommended) This file can be used for full color printing, however we suggest using your Vector EPS file for printing facilities since the size can be adjusted without affecting clarity.
Note: Due to resolution, the file size may be very large.

What file formats will I receive?

  • Vector files you will receive:
1 - Adobe Illustrator Vector EPS file for your Printing Facility. It is suggested that you make backup copies of this file.
  • Rasterized files you will receive:
1 - 72dpi GIF or JPG file for Web use. (The amount of shading in your image will determine the file format.) Please do not use this file for printing. This is a screen resolution file only, and it will not print clearly.
1 - 300dpi CMYK TIFF for desktop publishing on your own PC. Use this file to create your own letterheads, envelopes and business cards. (Color printer recommended)

How do Vector images and Raster (pixel) images differ?

  • Vector Images:
Vector images are created in a Vector drawing program, such as Adobe Illustrator, and are stored mathematically, rather than by pixels like raster images. This means that they can be resized in a Vector drawing program, without loss of image quality. For this reason, most logos are created in Vector format. Vector images are perfect for printing, since they have unlimited resolution. Here is an example.

Normal Vector Image Enlarged Vector Image

Advantages of the Vector file format:
    • Color changes and editing can be made instantly (with software).
    • Each design element can be edited separately.
    • Files can be resized without any loss of quality.
    • The file size is usually small enough to fit on a floppy disk.
Disadvantages of the Vector file format:
    • Vector files can not be used with most desktop software.
  • Raster Images:
Raster images can be created in a photo program, such as Photoshop, or basic drawing programs like Paint or Paintbrush. Rather than being stored mathematically like vector images, raster images are stored in pixels. Pixels are basically tiny blocks that create an image when put together. If a raster (or pixelated) image is enlarged, it will lose all definition. Here is an example:

Normal Raster Image Enlarged Raster Image

      Advantages of Raster Images:
    • Because of their small file size, low resolution Rasterized images (GIF's and JPG's) are perfect for Web use.
    • High resolution (300 dpi) TIFF's can be used with most desktop software and can printed with your personal printer (color printer recommended).
    • Raster files can be imported into word processing documents, photo programs, and web programs.
      Disadvantages of Raster Images:
    • GIF's and JPEG's should not be used for printing. The edges of a GIF or JPG image will look jagged once printed.
    • The file size of a high res. TIFF is very large. This can present problems with transferring over phone lines, or saving to a diskette. (However, "zipping" programs like WinZip can help to reduce the file size while e-mailing or storing files.)
    • Although a TIFF file can be used for printing, the crispness of the image will decrease when the image is enlarged.

What is the difference between Starter Logos and Custom Logos?

  • Starter Logos:
Starter logos require less design time than custom logos, and they are solid color designs. They do not contain any gradient or special effects.
  • Custom Logos:
Custom logos can use a variety of solid colors, gradient effects, and special effects. You get more versions to choose from and you also receive unlimited revisions.
  • Illustrated Logos:
Illustrated Logos are also considered custom logo designs, but we spend about twice the time on these custom logos. The images are actually drawn by hand and then converted to graphic files. The entire logo can be hand-drawn, or the illustrated portions can be incorporated with graphic elements and/or a typed font title.

How do design versions differ from design revisions?
The first set of designs you view are called versions. Versions are the initial logo designs that you will view. After you choose a version, we then move to the revision stage. Revisions are subtle changes in fonts, color or placement. Basically, revisions refine your logo to your personal taste.
Click here to go back to the top.

What if I want to change directions in the middle of a job?
We allow minor changes to be made over the course of the designing period at no extra charge. We understand that businesses can change rather suddenly. However, once a version has been chosen, any major changes will result in additional charges - depending upon the amount of work that has already been done.

What if I don't like my logo?

  • Refund Policy:
After viewing your inital designs, you may choose to proceed with future versions; go into the final revision stage; or request a full refund. A full refund may be requested at any time up until the final revision stage.

Once you have entered the final revision stage, a partial refund will be given. We will tally up the hours spent designing, and subtract them from your payment. If a refund is due, it will be sent promptly. Our normal hourly rate is $50.00 per hour.

If the final logo has been approved and your new logo files have been delivered, no refunds will be given.

    Graphic Design Terminology:

  • Color Modes:
RGB Color: Colors are formed with a mixture of Red, Green and Blue. Mostly used for web purposes, such as GIF and JPG files. Your monitor is also RGB.
CMYK Color: Colors are formed with a mixture of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Used in 4 Color (Full Color) printing process. When you print a website page or graphic, your printer changes it from RGB to CMYK color.

  • Image Resolution (res.): The number of dpi (dots per inch) in an image.
Low resolution: 72 dpi - used for GIF and JPG. 72 dpi is also the resolution of your monitor.
High resolution: 300 dpi or above - used for desktop publishing and commercial printing.
Unlimited resolution: Vector files can be resized indefinitely - so they have unlimited proportions and resolution.
